Angela's BiographyAs an only child growing up in small-town Ontario, I used to love to draw, paint, and colour to pass the time. I have always had a creative side, which perhaps drew me to study Advertising in College. While Marketing and Public Relations were enjoyable, my passion was for the Graphic Design and Photographic part of my studies. My chosen career path ultimately led me in that direction, and I have been lucky enough to find true satisfaction by being part of an industry in which working also means being creative.
Recently, I decided to expand my creative outlet beyond my computer and my graphic design work, when in 2007 I enrolled in a community painting class to learn the art of watercolour. While I learned the basics of the medium from an award-winning artist, my personal style began to emerge and I developed my own techniques to capture the realism and beauty of my subjects. Many hours of glazing and fine brush work bring my subjects to life and capture their details.
My subjects are primarily nature-based, with a particular passion for painting animals and birds, although some of my favourite pieces have been of still-life subjects.
